Quantity Surveyor

Our client are an award-winning housebuilder in the north of Scotland. With a number of flagship developments under their belt and a continuous strive for excellence, they have a new requirement for a senior quantity surveyor to join the team. This role can be a mix of office/home and site-based for the right candidate. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the financial aspects of these g, ensuring these projects, making sure they are delivered on time and within budget.Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the financial management of housebuilding projects from inception to completion.- Prepare and evaluate cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports.- Conduct risk assessments and value engineering to optimise project costs.- Manage procurement processes and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.- Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.- Provide accurate and timely valuations, payments, and final accounts.- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure project success.- Analyse and report on financial performance, identifying areas for improvement.- Mentor and support junior quantity surveyors and other team members.- Ensure adherence to industry standards and company policies.Qualifications:- Bachelor s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.- Extensive experience in quantity surveying within housebuilding and/or main contracting sectors.- ..... full job details .....
