Quantity Surveyor - Client Side

Client-Side Quantity Surveyor Location: Carlisle, Cumbria Salary: Competitive, depending on experience Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time The Role We are recruiting for an experienced Client-Side Quantity Surveyor to join a property and construction team based in Carlisle. The successful candidate will have a broad understanding of the construction industry and will be responsible for providing commercial and cost management expertise across a varied portfolio of construction and property projects. This is a client-side position, making it ideal for a QS who enjoys working closely with clients, consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered effectively and within budget. Key Responsibilities Provide client-side quantity surveying and commercial management across construction projects. Manage project costs from initial budgets and feasibility through to final account. Prepare cost plans, estimates, budgets and financial forecasts. Review tenders, quotations and contractor submissions. Procure and manage contractors and consultants. Assess valuations, variations and applications for payment. Monitor project expenditure and identify commercial risks. Manage final accounts and ensure costs are accurately reconciled. Review construction contracts, specifications and project documentation. Attend project and contractor meetings. Provide commercial advice to internal stakeholders and project teams.
