Quantity Surveyor
A leading infrastructure contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a major, long-term infrastructure project in Kent.The project provides an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to work within a complex delivery environment, taking responsibility for the commercial management of their own packages while working closely with the wider project team.The RoleAs Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for supporting the successful commercial delivery of the project, including:Managing applications for payment and associated processesCost forecasting and financial reportingPreparation and management of CVRsCost-to-complete forecastingManaging change control and variationsIdentifying and managing commercial riskManaging the subcontract lifecycleProcurement and subcontract negotiationProviding commercial advice to the project teamMonitoring project performance against budgetSupporting dispute avoidance and resolutionMaintaining accurate commercial recordsWorking closely with project delivery and operational teamsAbout YouWe''re looking for a Quantity Surveyor with:Experience working for a main contractor or specialist contractorExperience within civil engineering, infrastructure, construction or heavy engineeringGood knowledge of commercial management and contract administrationExperience managing subcontractorsStrong understanding of cost control, forecasting and changeExcellent communication and negotiation ..... full job details .....
