Job DescriptionTo support the Operations Director and senior management team in improving the quality across residential services for children and people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). This includes supporting new home openings, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities:Monitor and evaluate care quality across all residential homesConduct regular audits and investigations, producing comprehensive reportsWork with Registered Managers to complete action plans and maintain inspection readinessLead reflective practice sessions across servicesSupport the implementation of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategiesCollaborate with the Multi-Disciplinary Team and education staffCoach and mentor new and existing managersDevelop tools to measure performance against regulatory standardsPrepare quarterly reports for the Quality Assurance BoardLead on safeguarding audits and complianceProvide advice on child protection matters and respond to notifiable eventsAssist with registration of new homes and maintain strong relationships with regulatorsStrategic Purpose of the Role:Improve the overall quality of care and safeguarding across all homesDevelop, implement, and monitor best-practice QA systems and risk assessmentsSupport new service openings with pre/post-inspection processesProduce regular quality and compliance reports for the senior teamAct as a key contributor to the development of high-performing, child-focused residential careQualifications:Degree or NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent)Management Diploma or equivalent leadership qualificationAdditional Requirements:Enhanced DBS CheckFull, clean UK driving licenceExperience:At least 5 years’ experience in children’s residential care2+ years in a management or senior leadership roleStrong background in quality assurance systemsExperience meeting regulatory standards and working under pressureProven track record in compliance, audits, and inspectionsKnowledge:Comprehensive understanding of the Children Act 2004 and Children’s Homes Regulations 2015Familiarity with multi-agency working, including Social Services and safeguarding teamsBenefits:Company pensionFree on-site parkingReferral programmeIf you are interested in the above position, please apply, or for more information contact Cameron at Domus Recruitment.
