We\''re Hiring: Quality Manager - £48,000-£50,000 | Blackburn. We\''re looking for a hands-on, forward-thinking Quality Manager to take ownership of the quality function at our Blackburn site. This is a critical leadership role overseeing compliance, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Location: BlackburnSalary: £48,000-£50,000 per annumReporting to: Technical ManagerResponsible for: Quality Co-ordinatorsPurpose of the Role
Lead and develop the site\''s quality team and systems, ensuring full compliance with standards (including ISO and BRC), maintaining product integrity, and enhancing performance and customer satisfaction.Key Responsibilities
Quality Systems and Compliance
Develop and maintain integrated quality systems for all goods and processesEnsure compliance with all relevant standards and customer requirementsOperate and improve the Quality Management SystemPrepare for and host customer and certification auditsCo-ordinate and conduct scheduled internal auditsContinuous Improvement
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the businessChampion problem-solving and root cause analysisImplement corrective actions for non-conformities and complaintsChair Management Review Meetings (MRM) and HACCP meetingsAttend and contribute to weekly Quality and Tooling meetingsCustomer and Supplier Relations
Investigate customer complaints and maintain the complaints databaseCommunicate effectively with teams and customers to resolve quality issuesVisit customers to support issue resolution as requiredSupport vendor development and selection to ensure supplier qualityLeadership and Team Management
Lead, mentor, and manage the quality team to achieve business objectivesPlan resources effectively and monitor KPIsPromote a quality-first, data-driven cultureBuild strong cross-functional relationships with other departmentsHealth and Safety
Work safely and ensure your team complies with all company safety proceduresPerson Specification
