We are currently recruiting an experienced Quality Manager to join a major international engineering contractor working on a high-profile Energy Recovery Facility in Edmonton, North London.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a technically complex project involving power generation, boiler installation, mechanical construction, welding, fabrication and commissioning.

The Company

Our client is an established international engineering and construction specialist with 50+ years' experience delivering major projects across the power, energy and industrial sectors.

With a global track record spanning thousands of projects, the business specialises in power generation equipment, boilers, turbines, mechanical installation, welding, fabrication and maintenance.

They are recognised for delivering technically demanding projects where quality, safety and engineering standards are critical.

The Project

The Edmonton project is a major Energy Recovery Facility forming part of the redevelopment of North London's waste infrastructure.

The facility will process approximately 700,000 tonnes of waste per year and generate around 78MW of electricity through two energy recovery lines.

The project includes:

• Two large-scale boilers

• Steam turbine and generator

• High-pressure steam systems

• Flue gas treatment

• Extensive pipework and mechanical installation

• Welding and fabrication

• Pressure systems

• Electrical and control systems

It is a major heavy-engineering environment and offers excellent exposure to boiler, mechanical and power-generation construction.

The Role

As Quality Manager, you will take ownership of quality across the project scope, working closely with construction, engineering, client and subcontractor teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing the project Quality Plan and ITPs

• Leading inspection and testing activities

• Overseeing welding, fabrication and mechanical quality

• Managing NCRs and corrective actions

• Ensuring material and weld traceability

• Coordinating NDT and pressure testing

• Conducting audits and quality surveillance

• Managing quality documentation and handover dossiers

• Supporting mechanical completion and commissioning

About You

We are looking for a hands-on Quality Manager with experience on major engineering or construction projects.

Your background could include:

Power Generation | Energy from Waste | Boiler | Oil & Gas | Process Plant | Heavy Engineering | EPC

You should have strong experience across mechanical installation, welding/fabrication, inspection and testing, with the confidence to operate at both site and senior project level.

Relevant quality, welding or inspection qualifications are advantageous.
