Quality Lead

Owen Daniels are supporing a well-established and growing aerospace manufacturing business based in South Birmingham, is looking to appoint an experienced Quality Manager to lead its quality function and drive continuous improvement across the business.This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Quality Manager who can hit the ground running in a fast-paced precision manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will have extensive experience working within the aerospace sector and a strong understanding of AS9100 quality management systems.Reporting directly to senior management, you will take ownership of the site''s quality strategy while remaining actively involved in day-to-day quality activities, supporting production, customers, and suppliers.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and develop the Quality Department, leading a team of 5 comprising Quality Technicians and Quality Engineers.Maintain and continually improve the company''s AS9100 Quality Management System.Lead internal, customer and third-party audits.Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions using 8D and 5 Why methodologies.Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory and aerospace quality requirements.Investigate non-conformances and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.Work closely with production, engineering and supply chain teams to improve quality performance.Monitor KPIs and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.Manage customer quality issues and maintain strong ..... full job details .....
