Forge Inspector Salary: Starting earnings of approximately £40,000 per annum, rising to approximately £41,000 following successful completion of probation, plus enhanced earning potential upon transition to continental shifts.Job Type: Permanent, Full Time The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join a leading manufacturing organisation. This position plays a vital role in ensuring precision-engineered products meet exact customer specifications and industry quality standards throughout the production process. Key Responsibilities Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspections. Inspect forged and machined components against engineering specifications. Use precision measuring equipment to verify dimensions and tolerances. Read and interpret engineering drawings and process sheets. Record inspection findings and prepare reports. Identify and document non-conformances. Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives. Maintain excellent standards of health, safety and housekeeping. About You Time-served apprenticeship with a background in inspection, engineering or manufacturing. Must be able to provide trade papers. Experience using manual precision measuring equipment. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Strong numerical and analytical skills. Knowledge of quality systems and procedures. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
