Quality Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity for and experienced Quality Engineer to join an established highly regulated precision engineering & manufacturing business who produce a range of innovate for global export.
Quality Engineer 
Salary: £40-45000 + benefits
Location: Sheffield
This is an interesting and varied responsibility to work for a business that design and manufacture high value engineered products for the energy, oil & gas, aerospace, aerospace and defence sectors.
The business is has won a significant export order so the role will initially be focused on new product introduction; ensuring production processes, SOP and product / material documentation is implemented successfully. 
Duties:
o Review customer and regulatory requirements to determine & implement quality assurance and control procedures.
o Support, witness & sign off customer and third party processes, test and inspection plans.
o Monitoring the implementation and effectiveness of any corrective actions taken to eliminate Supplier or Customer complaints.
o Accountable for production quality issues – component inspection, corrective action, risk assessment and problem resolution.
o Internal process audit, QMS audit and support supplier quality audits.
o Continuous monitoring of the manufacturing processes by audits, statistical analysis or any other relevant technique to support continuous improvement.
o Provide guidance to the shop floor staff on Quality Assurance and cost saving techniques.
Experience:
Applications are sought from experienced Quality Engineers with significant knowledge of production quality control and new product introduction gained within a regulated engineering environment.
o Apprentice trained, HNC or Degree in an engineering or technical discipline
o Lead or Internal Audit training highly desirable 
o Strong knowledge of quality tools – 8D, 5Y, PPAP, Control Plans, FMEA
o Read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T
o Able to adhere to stringent engineering & manufacturing regulatory compliance and standards eg: PSSR2000; AD2000; DOT; LOLER; ASME.
o Knowledge of lean manufacturing methods and continuous improvement techniques
