Quality Engineer

As part of an ongoing transformation programme aimed at raising operational performance and achieving higher levels of excellence, this Quality position will be central to that journey.
This newly created role sits within a dedicated Quality team that plays a critical part in ensuring operational changes are implemented without compromising product integrity. Even more importantly, the focus is on ensuring customer expectations are not just met, but consistently exceeded.
This is a varied, customer-facing quality position. As products are built to individual customer specifications, building confidence and maintaining strong customer assurance is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and continuously enhance the Quality Management System
- Plan, coordinate and carry out internal audits
- Provide support during external and customer-led audits
- Lead and manage effective corrective and preventive actions
- Act as an internal champion for customer quality requirements
- Review customer feedback and identify improvement opportunities
- Carry out detailed root cause investigations
- Drive continuous improvement across processes, reducing waste and improving product reliability
Requirements
- Solid working knowledge of ISO 9001 standards
- Previous experience in a Quality role within a manufacturing or technical environment
