Quality Control Engineer – £40,000 to £45,000 – Newton Abbot
Full-time | Permanent

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Engineer to join a forward-thinking manufacturer developing advanced adhesive solutions and high-performance materials for industries such as automotive, construction, and aerospace.

This role is ideal for both experienced professionals and recent graduates with a passion for quality control, process improvement, and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality standards and procedures.
• Identify and deliver process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce defects.
• Conduct product/material testing and analyse data for compliance.
• Investigate quality issues, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Work closely with production, R&D, and supply chain teams.
• Support internal/external audits and maintain documentation.
• Resolve customer quality concerns promptly.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Quality, Manufacturing, Chemical, Aviation or related field).
• Applications welcome from both recent graduates and experienced professionals.
• Knowledge of AS9100 and IATF16949 is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with quality tools/methodologies such as Six Sigma, FMEA, and Root Cause Analysis.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
