Quality Control Assistant Days

For this interesting and fast-paced role, you''ll ''spot check'' pallets of our short-life product to make sure they''re in tip-top condition. It means scrutinising all kinds of things - like the country of origin, dimension and weight. It''s about getting things done quickly and efficiently with excellent attention to detail. Essentially, you''re a crucial part of keeping our customers happy. The main function of a QCA is to work as part of a team of 10, checking products on the warehouse floor upon arrival and determining if the product meets the quality expectations. You will be working in both a chill and ambient environment. We would be expected to work unsupervised at times and in different buildings (RDC or TCA). Working hours: 5/7 days working between 30-35 hours per week (30 hour per week contract). Shift patterns: Set shift pattern of 12:00- 18:00/19:00 with every 3rd weekend off. Working in a temperature of 5 degrees (don''t worry - we will provide uniform to keep you warm) Key Responsibilities: Provides the Quality Control Leader, Buying Assistants and Suppliers with information regarding Quality Control. Determines when stock should be rejected. Liaises with suppliers, internal and external auditors and external bodies when required. Updates all relevant departments with information regarding product quality in the agreed format. Checks intakes as required.
