The school are seeking a passionate, resilient, and dedicated qualified teacher to join their experienced and supportive team. The successful teacher will be working with a small cohort of students and will be working in the community with these children and help them re-enter formal education. This is a full-time role, part-teaching and part-SEN responsibility with 3 days teaching and 2 days focusing on SEN.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Putting provisions in place to ensure the progress of pupils with SEND
- Co-ordinate and attend EHCP annual reviews
- Support all staff in understanding the needs of SEND students
- Liaise with staff, parents, external Agencies and other schools.
- Work with all colleagues to ensure all students'' learning is of equal importance and that there are high and realistic expectations of students.
- Collect and interpret specialist assessment data to inform practice.
- Undertake day-to-day co-ordination of SEND pupils'' provisions through close liaison with staff, parents/carers, and external agencies.
- Be aware of and make provision for students who are AEN/SEN, more able, LAC or who have other individual needs
- Providing clear structures for lessons maintaining pace, motivation and challenge
- Making effective use of assessment and ensure coverage of programmes of study.
