Senior Accountant Lancaster based (Hybrid model - 2 days in the office) Salary to £50,000 plus excellent benefits package Reed are currently supporting a well-respected, fast growing local practice with the recruitment of a qualified accountant who is looking for a role where you can combine technical accounting expertise with genuine client advisory work? Our client is looking for a Senior Accountant with strong general practice experience to manage a varied portfolio of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. You''ll take ownership of client relationships, deliver high-quality accounts prep and tax work, and provide proactive advice to help clients make better financial decisions. The Role This is a varied, client-facing position with responsibilities including: Managing a portfolio of clients and acting as a key point of contact. Preparing statutory financial statements and management accounts. Completing corporate, personal and VAT tax returns. Managing bookkeeping, bank reconciliations and accurate financial records. Supporting month-end, quarter-end and year-end processes. Advising clients on tax planning, salaries, dividends and financial strategy. Providing guidance around cash flow, budgeting and forecasting. Helping clients improve their financial systems, processes and controls. Identifying opportunities to provide additional advisory and business support services.
