Qualified Finance Manager

Axon Moore are working with a well-established, privately owned business within the wholesale industry to appoint a Finance Manager to take ownership of its finance function. The organisation operates across multiple international markets and is part of a larger group function. This is a broad and varied Finance Manager role looking after a growing, internationally active SME. It would suit someone who enjoys ownership, thrives in a hands-on environment, and is looking to play a key role in supporting a business with both UK and global operations.Key Responsibilities: Lead the finance function, ensuring smooth day-to-day operationsPrepare and review management accounts across multiple entities and regionsDeliver timely month-end and year-end reportingMonitor and manage cash flow, including forecasting and variance analysisHandle VAT compliance across different territories, including international requirementsSupport accounting for cross-border transactions, including imports and exportsManage multi-currency activity and associated reconciliationsMaintain strong financial controls and continuously improve processesWork closely with external stakeholders such as banks, auditors, and advisorsProvide financial insight and analysis to support business decision-makingAssist with system improvements and ongoing optimisation of finance toolsOverseeing the work of a small team.
