Purchasing Manager

An established manufacturing company based in Birmingham requires a purchasing manager. Duties: Identify new suppliers (steel, wood panels, fittings etc.) and negotiate contracts and supply arrangements. Manage supplier performance and run quarterly reviews. Draft a rolling 3-year procurement strategy and develop a KPI dashboard to monitor it''s progress. Implement stock management processes. Analyse ERP data and MRP recommendations. Line management, coaching and developments of purchasing staff. Requirements: A minimum of 5 years as a senior buyer in a manufacturing environment. Supply chain and inventory management experience. Understanding of production planning and cycles. ERP / MRP knowledge. Advanced Excel skills. Hours: 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 12.30pm Friday.
