An established manufacturing company based in Birmingham-requires a purchasing manager.
Duties:
- Identify new suppliers (steel, wood panels, fittings etc.) and negotiate contracts and supply arrangements.
- Manage supplier performance and run quarterly reviews.
- Draft a rolling 3-year procurement strategy and develop a KPI dashboard to monitor it''s progress.
- Implement stock management processes.
- Analyse ERP data and MRP recommendations.
- Line management, coaching and developments of purchasing staff.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years as a senior buyer in a manufacturing environment.
- Supply chain and-inventory management experience.
- Understanding of production planning and cycles.
- ERP / MRP knowledge.
- Advanced Excel skills.
Hours:
- 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 12.30pm Friday.
This is a permanent position that starts immediately.
