Purchase Ledger Clerk

KCR Solutions are working with this growing and well established business in Newton Aycliffe in their search for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk.You will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the purchase ledger, while also supporting wider finance activities across the business. This is a varied, hands-on position offering exposure to key accounting processes and the opportunity to contribute to process improvement and team development.You will work closely with the Finance Manager and play a role in supporting junior team members.Key ResponsibilitiesManaging the purchase ledger function, including entering transactions and maintaining accurate recordsProcessing supplier invoices and allocating paymentsReconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepanciesChasing missing documentation and information where requiredBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholdersSupporting the preparation of monthly management accountsCompleting monthly intercompany reconciliationsMaintaining organised and efficient filing systems (digital and/or paper-based)Assisting with ad hoc finance tasks and process improvement initiativesSupporting and mentoring a junior member of the finance teamCandidate RequirementsPrevious experience in a purchase ledger or accounts roleStrong IT skills and ability to pick up new systems quicklyExcellent attention to detail and high level of accuracyStrong organisational and time-management ..... full job details .....
