Role: Purchase and Sales Ledger Team LeaderSalary: Up to £40k depending on experienceContract Type: Initially temporary with a view to go permanentHybrid (2 days office and 3 from home)Location: WhetstoneOur client is seeking an experienced Purchase and Sales Ledger Team Leader to join a busy finance team initially on a temporary basis, starting immediately.This hands-on role is responsible for leading accounts payable and receivable operations, overseeing payments and income processing, cash management, and ensuring strong financial controls while managing and developing a small team.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the purchase and sales ledger functionEnsure accurate and timely processing of invoices, receipts and paymentsOversee BACS, CHAPS and manual payments, including PAYE, VAT and pensionsMaintain strong financial controls, reconciliations and month-end closeManage credit control, debtor reporting and cash collectionMonitor cash management and short-term cash forecastingReconcile supplier statements, control accounts, credit cards and petty cashSupervise payroll-related payments (overtime, expenses and mileage)Resolve internal and external stakeholder queriesLead, develop and performance-manage the ledger teamSupport process improvements, KPIs and efficiencyDeputise for senior finance colleagues when requiredKey RequirementsProven experience leading purchase and sales ledger teamsStrong AP/AR background in a large or complex organisationConfident people manager ..... full job details .....
