Punch Press Operator

We are seeking a skilled Punch Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating punch presses to produce high-quality sheet metal components, ensuring precision and safety at all times. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in fabrication and mechanical processes to develop their expertise within a dynamic environment. You will be using an Amada Vipros King. This is a permanent, full-time role, 39 hours per week Pay: 30,500 per annum + overtime available Duties Set up and operate punch presses according to specifications and production schedules Load and unload sheet metal materials, ensuring correct positioning for accurate punching Monitor machine operation, adjusting settings as necessary to maintain quality standards Perform routine inspections of tools and equipment, conducting minor maintenance or troubleshooting when required Assist with grinding, welding, or assembly tasks as needed to support production processes Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations Document production data accurately and report any machine malfunctions or safety concerns promptly Skills Proven experience in fabrication, sheet metal work, or similar manufacturing roles Proficiency with hand tools, tooling, and basic mechanical knowledge Ability to operate grinding and welding equipment is advantageous Strong understanding of assembly processes and the use of ..... full job details .....
