OverviewAre you a Registered Nurse looking to gain experience in working with children and families in a community setting? Are you considering applying to undertake the SCPHN training to become a health visitor?
Responsibilities
Join the Health Visiting service at the Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, working with teams in City and Hackney to deliver core and targeted services to children aged 0-5 and their families.
Be supported by qualified health visitors and mixed-skill teams. Training opportunities are available to support the new role.
Support the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme within a progressive universal model of service delivery, in partnership with other statutory and non-statutory agencies.
Play a key part in the development and safe delivery of the 0-5 health visiting service, using best available evidence to improve the health and wellbeing of children and young people, especially those from disadvantaged groups.
Under supervision of Senior Health Visitors, carry out specific nursing care for patients, families and carers. Work in partnership with the multi-disciplinary team and other agencies to ensure excellent standards of care.
Support the team, department and organisation to achieve the Trusts Values in day-to-day work.
Requirements
UK NMC registration as a Registered Nurse and current working eligibility in the UK. Experience in healthcare settings and an interest in working with children and families.
Interest in undertaking the SCPHN training to become a health visitor.
