Hours: Full-time, various shifts available

NMS Recruit are currently looking for experienced PSV Technicians / Bus Mechanics to support a number of busy transport operators across London.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced PSV Engineers looking for contract work, with ongoing assignments available across a number of London workshop locations.
The Role
As a PSV Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing and repair of a modern fleet of buses and commercial passenger vehicles.
Your duties will include:
-Carrying out routine servicing and preventative maintenance
-Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and vehicle system faults
-Completing mechanical repairs to PSV vehicles
-Working on braking, suspension, steering and drivetrain systems
-Carrying out inspections and defect rectification
-Preparing vehicles for MOT and safety inspections
-Using diagnostic equipment where required
-Completing relevant maintenance documentation
-Ensuring vehicles are maintained to DVSA and operator standards
Requirements
-Previous experience working as a PSV Technician, Bus Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Technician
-Experience maintaining buses, coaches or heavy commercial vehicles
-NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent preferred
-Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
-Own tools where required
-Ability to work independently within a busy workshop environment
-A PSV licence is advantageous but not essential.
