PSV Technician Contractor - LondonRate: 34p/hHours: Full-time, various shifts availableStart Date: Immediate / ASAPNMS Recruit are currently looking for experienced PSV Technicians / Bus Mechanics to support a number of busy transport operators across London.This is an excellent opportunity for experienced PSV Engineers looking for contract work, with ongoing assignments available across a number of London workshop locations.The RoleAs a PSV Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing and repair of a modern fleet of buses and commercial passenger vehicles.Your duties will include: Carrying out routine servicing and preventative maintenance Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and vehicle system faults Completing mechanical repairs to PSV vehicles Working on braking, suspension, steering and drivetrain systems Carrying out inspections and defect rectification Preparing vehicles for MOT and safety inspections Using diagnostic equipment where required Completing relevant maintenance documentation Ensuring vehicles are maintained to DVSA and operator standardsRequirements Previous experience working as a PSV Technician, Bus Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Technician Experience maintaining buses, coaches or heavy commercial vehicles NVQ Level 3 / City and Guilds qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent preferred Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills Own tools where required Ability to work independently within a busy workshop ..... full job details .....
