Projects Officer

I am currently recruiting for a Project Officer for a period of 3-6 months to support the delivery of a new build affordable housing programme.Working closely with the Project Manager, you will play a key role in taking projects from early site identification through to completion and handover, helping to deliver high-quality homes that meet local housing needs.Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will:Support the development and delivery of new build housing projects from inception to completionLiaise with internal departments, statutory authorities, developers, and housing colleaguesEnsure developments align with housing need, local development plans, and strategyAssist in procurement, appointment, and management of design teams and contractorsMonitor project budgets, costs, and financial viabilityPrepare and submit grant funding bids and manage reporting via relevant systemsAttend and contribute to design team and site meetingsSupport handover of completed developments Manage defect periods and ensure issues are resolved within agreed timescalesEnsure compliance with procurement policies and regulatory guidanceContribute to continuous improvement through post-project reviewsPrepare reports for senior management and elected membersAbout YouEssential RequirementsEducated to degree level (or equivalent)Experience delivering new build projects from inception to completionStrong understanding of construction processes and relevant legislationExperience working with budgets, ..... full job details .....
