Project Manager - Structural Steel Construction

Location: Dorset or London
Salary: Up to -85,000 + Car Allowance (dependant on experience)

We are recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join a leading, well-established name within the structural steel construction industry. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of major steel fabrication and installation projects across high-profile commercial and infrastructure schemes.

You will be responsible for managing structural steel projects from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, clients, and internal departments to successfully deliver complex steelwork packages.

Key responsibilities include:
* Full lifecycle management of structural steel projects
* Planning, programming and delivery oversight
* Managing budgets, cost control and commercial performance
* Coordinating design, fabrication, transport and installation phases
* Leading site teams, subcontractors and supply chain partners
* Ensuring strict adherence to H&S, RAMS and industry standards
* Client liaison and progress reporting throughout project lifecycle
* Problem solving and driving programme recovery where required

* Strong background in structural steel construction (essential)
* Proven experience as a Project Manager within steel fabrication/erection (essential)
* Strong understanding of fabrication processes and site installation
* Experience delivering large-scale steel projects in commercial or infrastructure sectors
* Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects and complex programmes
* SMSTS or equivalent H&S qualification preferred

* Salary up to -85,000 depending on experience
