Project Manager – Civil Engineering (Rail)
Location: Hybrid – Manchester with site travel across the North West & Central Region when required
Salary: Up to £70,000 + car allowance + benefits

Role Overview
As Project Manager, you will lead civil engineering projects from initial enquiry through to contract completion, ensuring delivery to the highest safety, quality, and environmental standards. This is a hands-on role where you will have the autonomy to manage multiple aspects of project delivery while working closely with a supportive and collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all civil engineering activities from tender to completion
- Appoint and oversee site managers and supervisors
- Assist the Geo-Tech Lead in forecasting and resource planning
- Produce project documentation and HSQE contract plans
- Plan works thoroughly to meet deadlines and budgets
- Act as the Responsible Manager for designated projects
- Regular travel to offices and project sites
- Minimum 3 years’ managing projects with a contractor within rail civil engineering
- Strong knowledge of NEC4 contracts
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex rail projects
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills
- Flexible approach with the ability to travel as required
- Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum
