Project Manager Refurbishment Scheme Location: Durham Job Type: Freelance Sector: Construction Refurbishment and Fire Safety Our client is a well-established main contractor seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the delivery of a live refurbishment and fire safety project at a prison in Durham. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile scheme involving fire safety upgrades, window replacement, and refurbishment works within a secure Ministry of Justice environment. The Role As Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the project, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will coordinate subcontractors, manage client relationships, and ensure compliance with all prison security procedures. Key Responsibilities Overall management of site operations from inception through to completion. Deliver fire safety improvement works, refurbishment, and window replacement packages. Manage programme, budgets, subcontractors, and site teams. Ensure all health and safety legislation and company procedures are adhered to. Liaise with the client, design teams, and key stakeholders. Produce progress reports and attend regular project meetings. Ensure works are completed to the highest quality standards while maintaining programme.
