Career Opportunity: Project Manager. To strengthen our Eastern Region team, we are recruiting for a Project Manager at Jackson Civil Engineering. We are looking for a Project Manager in our Eastern Region to work on Flood Defence schemes, Navigation structures and Highways/Road schemes covering Cambridge, Northampton, Bedfordshire and South Lincolnshire.Responsibilities
Management of site staff, operatives and sub-contractors.Provide method statements, hazard risk assessments and Project Management plans.Understand tender allowances and monitor contract loss against agreed budgets.Prepare and monitor programmes of work.Foster good relations and reputation with clients.Manage design coordination.Assessment and engagement of sub-contractors.Manage contracts to ensure timely and profitable completion of contracts.Supervise, mentor and assist in the career development of junior staff.Requirements
Experience as a Project Manager with main contractor background; preferably experience with flood defence/structures and highways/road schemes.Strong team player with excellent communication and people skills; ability to manage change and delegate.Relevant industry qualification (HND/HNC/BEng) or equivalent.Up-to-date SMSTS qualification and appropriate CSCS card.Benefits
