www.necsws.comJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Project Engineering Manager to join our London team. The role involves acting as a design authority for radio projects for Blue Light customers and project managing all aspects of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to high standards.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesDefine technical architecture and solutions supporting MPS Managed Radio Service requirements;Produce detailed design and costing schedules and formal proposals for large, complex radio projects;Plan, project manage, and implement delivery of radio projects, including providing regular customer update reports (RAG status);Prioritize and deliver work packages within budget, schedule, and quality standards;Technically direct multidisciplinary teams of up to 15 members;Mentor and develop team members, fostering continuous improvement and innovation;Lead customer discussions on radio requirements from technical and operational perspectives;Develop procedures and documentation for new MPS radio systems, solutions, and services;Assess technical impacts of change requests;Attend internal and customer meetings;Identify and resolve project issues and conflicts with effective solutions.Note: Due to security clearance requirements, only applicants who have lived in the UK for 5+ consecutive years will be considered.While the role offers remote work options, applicants must reside within 1 hour of London to meet customer SLAs.QualificationsAbility to obtain or currently hold SC level UK National Security Vetting;Highly motivated and proactive;Excellent communication, client-facing, and influencing skills;Experience with Project Management methodologies;Knowledge of Airwave and TEA2 code of practice;Knowledge of Tetra Radio Technology (Infrastructure, Mobiles, Handhelds, Desktops);Understanding of Digital and Analogue Radio Systems used by Blue Light Services.Additional InformationWe offer comprehensive benefits, including:25 days paid holiday with buy/sell options;4x basic salary life assurance, funded by NEC (additional coverage available);Group Pension Plan with employer contributions up to 5%;Flexible benefits tailored to individual needs;Employee assistance programme supporting various aspects of life.Candidate requirements:Must be located within easy commute to London;Security clearance (Met Police) required; if not already held, must be obtained before ..... full job details .....
