Are you a practical Engineer with strong mechanical, electrical, and CAD skills looking for a varied hands-on project role in manufacturing?

Our client is looking for a Project Engineer to plan, manage, and deliver engineering projects that boost manufacturing capability, machinery reliability, quality, and safety on site.

You''ll suit this role if you''re a proactive problem solver with experience managing site contractors, implementing machinery modifications, and taking projects from concept through to commissioning.

The Role

*Leading engineering projects from initial concept through to installation and commissioning
*Developing technical specifications and CAD drawings using SolidWorks or AutoCAD
*Managing site contractors, reviewing RAMS, issuing permits, and ensuring safe working practices
*Supporting Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) for new equipment
*Driving continuous improvement initiatives (FMEA, RCA) to increase machine uptime and reduce waste
*Collaborating with NPI/Development teams to support new product tooling, machinery, and trial builds
*Managing procurement, equipment suppliers, project budgets, and milestone schedules
*Ensuring full compliance with ISO 9001 and site safety/regulatory standards

The Candidate

*HNC/HND, Degree, or equivalent hands-on experience in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Manufacturing Engineering
*Proven track record delivering engineering projects and machinery modifications within a manufacturing environment
*Proficient in producing and interpreting technical drawings using CAD software
*Experience managing external contractors, site permits, and capital equipment suppliers
*Strong background in Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, and continuous improvement practices
