Overview:
Alexander Associates are supporting a leading contractor within the water sector in the appointment of a Project Controller. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth coordination, administration, and tracking of project activities across a portfolio of works.

You will act as a central point of support to project teams, ensuring data is accurately managed, processes are followed, and key actions are driven through to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day administrative support across multiple projects
• Maintain and update project documentation, trackers, and reporting systems
• Monitor project progress and proactively chase actions, deliverables, and updates from internal and external stakeholders
• Support project managers with planning, scheduling, and coordination of activities
• Ensure accurate data management across project platforms and systems
• Prepare reports, dashboards, and status updates for senior stakeholders
• Assist with document control and ensure compliance with internal processes
• Coordinate meetings, capture minutes, and track follow-up actions
• Support cost tracking, purchase orders, and general project-related administration where required

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a project support, project coordinator, or project controller role
• Strong administrative and organisational skills with high attention to detail
• Experience working within utilities, water, engineering, or infrastructure environments is desirable
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel in particular) and project management systems
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills with the confidence to liaise and follow up with stakeholders at all levels
• Proactive, organised, and solutions-focused approach
