Job Title: Programme Controls Manager

Role Overview

The Programme Controls Manager is responsible for leading the planning and controls function across a portfolio of capital projects. As a subject matter expert in Primavera P6 EPPM and Oracle/SAP financial systems, you will oversee the integrity of project schedules, budgets, actuals, and forecasts.

Key Responsibilities

Programme Planning & Control

  • Lead the development and maintenance of integrated programme schedules across multiple capital projects using Primavera P6.
  • Manage accurate and timely reporting of project budgets, actuals, forecasts, and variances.
  • Aggregate project level data into programme level views to support decision making and executive reporting.
  • Ensure capital planning inputs are accurate and aligned with wider business priorities.

Reporting & Forecasting

Produce and present:

  • Weekly project status updates
  • Short and medium term cash flow forecasts
  • Inputs into long term capital planning cycles
  • Deliver programme performance reports, identifying trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.

Stakeholder Engagement

Collaborate closely with:

  • Programme and Project Managers
  • Finance and Supply Chain teams
  • MAG Directors and senior stakeholders
  • Proactively resolve approval bottlenecks and track progress against milestones and financial targets.
  • Provide expert advice on planning and controls best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a senior planning or programme controls role within a capital projects environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6 EPPM and financial systems such as Oracle or SAP.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Experience in cash flow forecasting and capital planning.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Leadership experience, including team management and development.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., APM, PMI, or similar).
  • Experience in regulated infrastructure environments

Vetting Level: BPSS as a minimum; CTC desirable.
