Production Technician

Location: Cambridge (CB25) Duration: Permanent Hours: 37.5 per week Flexible with core hours between 10am and 4pm (Monday to Friday) Salary: Competitive Job Reference: 36169 Polytec are looking for a Production Technician for our client based just north of Cambridge. Responsibilities: - Electro-mechanical assembly and testing of a variety of infrared thermal imaging related products - Production work ranging from cable assembly through to full system build and test, involving job and batch quantities - Manufacture and test of mechanical, optical and electronic assemblies - Component-level fault finding, troubleshooting and debugging - Recording and documenting assembly and test activities - Working as part of a production team to support the manufacture of high-quality products - Following engineering drawings, specifications and work instructions - Maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail throughout the production process Requirements: - A formal Engineering or relevant technical qualification - Understanding of electronic fundamentals - Troubleshooting, fault finding and debugging skills - SMT soldering (to 0201) and PCB repair skills - Wiring and cable/harness assembly experience - Computer literate - Ability to read schematic designs - Proficient in the use of standard test equipment including oscilloscopes, DVMs and signal generators - Understanding of clean room techniques for opto-mechanical assembly Please contact us as soon as possible for more ..... full job details .....
