Pay Rates: Starting from -18 - -20 per hour (Negotiable, dependent on experience)

Hours: 06:00 - 16:30 (flexibility required to work 11-12 hour shifts)

We are seeking a hands-on Working Production Supervisor to join our growing food manufacturing business. This role is ideal for an experienced professional from the food industry - particularly within the meat sector - who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys leading from the front.

As a Working Supervisor, you will lead small teams across butchery, packing, chilled, and frozen areas, ensuring targets are met while maintaining the highest levels of hygiene, safety, and quality. You''ll work closely with the Production Manager to deliver results and support continuous improvement.

What you''ll be doing:

You will supervise and motivate small teams to ensure production targets are achieved, leading by example with a hands-on approach and a willingness to roll up your sleeves. The role covers multiple areas of the site, including butchery, packing, chilled, and frozen environments, where you''ll oversee day-to-day operations and keep everything running smoothly.

Maintaining high standards of hygiene, food safety, and compliance with SOPs and company policies will be a core part of your responsibilities. You''ll also provide clear reporting and feedback to the Production Manager on progress, challenges, and team performance.

In addition, you''ll take ownership of setting up and organising work areas, ensuring production runs efficiently. As a people leader, you''ll support, coach, and develop your team members to get the best out of them while fostering a positive and productive working environment.

What we''re looking for:

Proven supervisory experience in the food industry, ideally within the meat sector.

Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and operational standards.

Excellent leadership and people management skills.

Ability to work flexibly, including extended shifts when required.

Resilient, hard-working, and comfortable in chilled and frozen environments.

Hands-on approach with the ability to balance supervising and working as part of the team.
