Production Shift Team Leader

As a Production shift Team Leader, you will manage the day-to-day operations of your shift, ensuring smooth production processes and team efficiency. Your role will play a key part in maintaining high standards and meeting production targets.

Our client are a market leading UK manufacturer in Darlington, with over 100 years in their industry.

Description

Duties will include;

• Overseeing and managing the production team during allocated shifts.
• Ensuring all production targets and quality standards are met consistently.
• Monitoring and maintaining health and safety compliance on the shop floor.
• Coordinating with other departments to optimise workflow and resolve issues promptly.
• Supporting team members to improve performance and skills.
• Preparing and submitting shift reports detailing productivity and any incidents.
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement effective solutions.
• Ensure the smooth handover between shifts to maintain operational continuity.

Profile

The successful Production Shift Team Leader should have:

• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong leadership and organisational skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a production setting.
• Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
• Problem-solving skills to handle production challenges efficiently.
• Good communication skills for liaising with team members and other departments.

Job Offer

Permanent opportunity

Salary is -35k plus 16% shift allowance

Shift patterns are 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm
