We''re recruiting on behalf of a successful, growing UK manufacturer that is investing heavily in its people, technology and production capability. Operating a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing facility, our client is looking for experienced Production Shift Leaders to lead, motivate and develop production teams while delivering outstanding operational performance.

The Role

As a Production Shift Leader, you''ll take ownership of your shift, ensuring production targets are achieved safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. You''ll lead from the front, creating a positive working environment while driving productivity, engagement and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of production operatives.
• Deliver daily production plans while maintaining quality, safety and efficiency.
• Monitor KPIs including output, downtime, waste and labour utilisation.
• Ensure Health & Safety standards are maintained at all times.
• Investigate production issues and implement effective solutions.
• Work closely with Production, Quality, Engineering and Planning teams to maximise performance.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and process optimisation.
• Complete accurate production reporting and ensure effective shift handovers.

About You

We''re looking for an experienced manufacturing leader who can inspire teams and consistently deliver results.

You''ll ideally have:

• Previous experience as a Shift Leader, Team Leader, Supervisor or similar within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Experience managing KPIs and delivering against production targets.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A strong commitment to quality, health & safety and operational excellence.

Experience from sectors such as glass manufacturing, building products, automotive, engineering, FMCG, packaging or other high-volume production environments would be highly advantageous.
