Production PlannerBlackburn£30,000 Monday Friday, 9:00am 5:00pm. The RoleA well-established manufacturing business based in Blackburn is seeking an experienced Production Planner to join their team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient coordination of production activities, enabling the business to meet customer demand while maintaining high standards of quality, food safety, and cost control.The successful candidate will be responsible for managing production schedules, aligning materials with demand, and driving continuous improvements within a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage daily and weekly production plans to meet customer demand and achieve OTIF targetsReview sales forecasts and order data to establish accurate planning parametersEnsure material availability aligns with production schedules and agreed supplier lead timesMaintain accurate stock levels for both raw materials and finished goodsWork collaboratively with production, purchasing, and warehouse teams to ensure seamless operationsMonitor and report on key performance indicators, including service levels, waste, and efficiencyIdentify potential risks to production plans and implement proactive solutionsEnsure all planning activities comply with food safety, quality, and regulatory standardsMaintain and update data within ERP systemsSupport continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce operational wasteProvide cover for other planning ..... full job details .....
