About the Role
This Production Operative Supervisor role in Dudley is offered by Pertemps Dudley Industrial on a full-time, temporary basis with potential to become permanent. Working nights, Monday to Thursday, 6:00pm until 6:00am, the successful candidate oversees a factory team, ensuring operations run safely and efficiently. Duties include supervising staff, monitoring shredders, extruders, colour sorters and metal recovery lines, and maintaining output targets. Production Operative Supervisor – Nights
We are currently recruiting for a Production Operative Supervisor to join our clients busy night-shift team on a temp-to-perm basis.
You will be responsible for supervising the production team and helping to ensure the smooth, safe and efficient running of the factory throughout the night.
Our clients production facility operates a range of industrial machinery, including:
- Shredders
- Extruders
- Colour sorters
- Metal recovery lines
- Other specialist recycling machinery
As a Production Operative Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising and supporting the night-shift production team
- Monitoring production and machinery
- Operating production machinery when required
- Identifying and resolving production issues
- Carrying out basic troubleshooting
- Making decisions to keep production running efficiently
- Supporting health & safety procedures
- Ensuring production targets and quality standards are maintained
- Operating an FLT and moving materials safely
- Reporting machinery faults and other issues to management
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
We are looking for someone who has:
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience
- FLT experience and ideally a valid FLT licence
- Experience operating industrial or production machinery
- Some mechanical knowledge and an understanding of machinery
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- A hands-on approach to work
- Good communication and team leadership skills
- The ability to work independently and take responsibility
