Production EngineerFordingbridge, HampshireUp to £38,000 (DOE)We are supporting our client to find a Production Engineer to join their emerging family run electronics manufacturing business!Roles and Responsibilities:Provide rapid technical support to in-house production teams and subcontract manufacturers to minimise downtime and resolve non-conformancesSupport PCBA and final assembly processes, including test setup, troubleshooting, and occasional test executionAssist with root-cause analysis and structured problem-solving (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys)Create and maintain build documentation, work instructions, and test specificationsMaintain Bills of Materials (BoMs), concessions, permits, and product changes through the Change Request processProduce and update 2D and 3D drawings for manufacturing, tooling, and subcontract requirementsEnsure team compliance with COSHH assessments and safety responsibilitiesDesign and build tooling, jigs, fixtures, and equipment to support efficient productionIdentify and implement process improvements within the department, supporting Lean initiatives such as 5SContribute to the development of new manufacturing processes, test equipment, and test softwareIdeal Candidate:Knowledge of electronics at component level and the ability to read circuit diagrams, wiring schedules, mechanical drawings, and Gerber filesExperience in electronic manufacturing and PCBA processesBasic test and fault-finding skillsExperience using CAD software (2D / 3D) ..... full job details .....
