Location: Willenhall, West Midlands
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 (DOE)
Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 4pm / Friday 7:30am to 12:30pm

Overview:
We''re working with a specialist engineering organisation in the defence sector who are seeking a Production Engineer / Project Manager. This is a key role ensuring production plans are delivered on time, coordinating across multiple departments, and keeping complex engineering projects on track.

Key Responsibilities:
. Prepare and manage the production plan, ensuring delivery to schedule.
. Coordinate with Design, Procurement, CNC, and Project Engineering teams.
. Act as a central point of communication between departments, suppliers, and management.
. Monitor project progress, flagging risks or delays early.
. Drive accountability across teams to ensure commitments are met.
. Support continuous improvement in production efficiency.

Candidate Requirements:
. Strong mechanical engineering background with 5+ years in engineering/manufacturing.
. Apprenticeship trained, ideally HNC/HND in Mechanical or Production Engineering (minimum ONC).
. Excellent communicator, able to influence and coordinate across teams and stakeholders.
. Experience in fast-paced production environments, managing multiple priorities.
. Proven track record of delivering against production plans under pressure.
. Driven, motivated, and proactive.
