We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to elevate our Procurement team within Grant Thornton. The role supports IT/digital, Properties and Facilities Management, Travel, Recruitment, Events and Marketing, with scope to cover all spending as the team develops.

Procurement reports to the Senior Procurement Manager and collaborates with the Director of Procurement and Property. You will help shape the function and drive procurement excellence across the firm while supporting ESG and inclusion and diversity objectives.

Flexible on GTUK location with hybrid working; we are open to discussions about reduced hours and job shares to support work-life balance.

Responsibilities

Be the Procurement lead on a variety of indirect spend projects across the business and influence key stakeholders to define procurement strategies that deliver best value and risk mitigation from responsible suppliers.

Drive the continual development of procurement policies and processes, including third-party due diligence and risk management.

Increase the visibility of procurement within the firm and identify opportunities to drive business performance.

Adapt traditional procurement processes to an agile, entrepreneurial organisation by working with service line leaders.

Drive the firm’s ESG strategy to support our commitment to SBTi and our supplier diversity programme.

Support stakeholders and finance colleagues to meet business objectives within budget.

Ensure accuracy of procurement data (contracts database, spend data, activity tracker).

Knowledge, Skills and ExperienceMinimum criteria: extensive experience in indirect procurement with the ability to translate procurement best practices into policies and processes. The following skills are desirable, but not mandatory in full:

You’ll be a great communicator and relationship builder.

You’ll be commercially astute, proactive with proven negotiation experience.

You’d ideally have experience in professional services, partnerships, or financial services.

You’ll have experience in supplier management, third-party assurance, and risk management.

You’ll have experience of ESG and IandD within the supply chain.

You’ll have experience in Digital and IT procurement, ideally software and hardware.
