This is an exciting role which plays an instrumental part in the development and execution of our sourcing strategy as you are responsible for the maximising of supplier productivity across both hard and soft savingsWorking with the business and externally, you will be ultimately responsible for managing all aspects of our “best in class” key supplier relationships. Partnering specifically with your business unit, you ensure that the goods and services supplied are delivered to the right quality, price, and delivery in the safest wayYou will keep abreast of the supplier market outlook, innovation, products, and pricing and uses their market knowledge and information to identify products and suppliers where necessaryYou will also facilitate access to supplier innovation and product development within the marketAlongside this, you will have the opportunity to learn and leverage the global buying power that comes from being part of the Linde plc, as you collaborate and work closely with the regional and global teams sharing learnings and best practices of workingThe Procurement Manager role provides a progressive development pathway into the role of Head of Strategic Sourcing within the Procurement structureWhat Makes You Great

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar level senior/management procurement role within a large national or global companyEducated to degree level (MSc/MBA) or equivalent would be desired and/or a CIPS (Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply) qualificationPrevious experience of applying strategic sourcing/procurement skills in the workplaceYou have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach and the ability to develop positive working relationships both internally and externallyHigh level of self-motivation, tenacity to drive and deliver results in a high-pressure environmentExcellent level of commercial and business acumen; with an understanding of the nature of our products and servicesProven project management skills with ability to drive continuous improvements, savings, and best practices with ability to influence change successfully cross-functionallyComfortable working in a complex and changing organization working in scenarios of ambiguityA knowledge of what makes a good contract, ideally with experience in contract draftingWorks with integrity, role modelling the behaviours aligned to being an inclusive workplaceWhy you will love working with us
