Melba won the 2023 National Disability Award for Excellence in Service Quality.What you’ll be doing (Key accountabilities)

Manage procurement and contract records to ensure probity, accountability, and audit readiness.Maintain and update the Contract Register to ensure all agreements are current and accurate.Support procurement activities, including preparing and reviewing Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs).Provide procurement advice and guidance to the business, including on new contracts and renewals.Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, including terms and pricing, to secure value-for-money outcomes.Monitor contract performance, including timelines, deliverables, renewals, closeouts, and compliance with KPIs.Identify, report, and help mitigate risks related to contract performance or non-compliance.Coordinate contract renewals for internal teams (e.g., Project Management Office), ensuring timely follow-up and accurate documentation.Raise and manage purchase orders in accordance with procurement policies and delegated authority.Maintain supplier records and support onboarding, engagement, quote evaluation, and compliance checks.Conduct spend analysis and market research to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve supplier value.Support organisation-wide procurement initiatives, contributing to continuous improvement across the procurement lifecycle—from supplier selection to contract management.Perform ad hoc tasks and special projects as directed by the Head of Commercial.Your Background (Skills and attributes)

Previous experience in a similar procurement or contract management role, ideally within a regulated or service-based environment.Understanding of and commitment to the values and goals of the organisation.Excellent service delivery skills with the ability to manage procurement and contracts efficiently.Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for optimisation and implement procurement best practices.Strong commitment to service excellence, human rights, and a zero-tolerance approach to unethical practices.Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work independently to meet deadlines.Proactive approach to learning and professional development, with a desire to grow within the role.Knowledge of healthcare or NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) industry standards and practices is preferred but not essential.Requirements

A current NDIS Worker Screening and Working with Children Check.The ability and relevant driver’s license to perform travel to working at different Melba office locations.Compliance with OHSandW regulations, legislation, and Policies and Procedures is required.Successful completion of pre-employment safety screening checks, mandatory training, and their subsequent renewals is necessary.Occupational Health Safety and Wellbeing (OHSandW)
