About the Role
A Private Client Solicitor is sought by a Devon-based firm to manage a varied caseload encompassing wills, probate, trusts, and lasting powers of attorney. This full-time, permanent position offers a salary between £40,000 and £60,000, dependent on experience. The successful candidate will provide expert legal counsel, cultivate strong client relationships, and contribute to departmental growth. With at least five years’ post-qualification experience, you will handle complex matters with autonomy. Hybrid and flexible working arrangements are available. This role suits a solicitor or legal executive aiming to develop their career within a supportive, established team. Business development and mentoring junior staff form key aspects of this position.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join a well-established and growing team in Devon.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Private Client Solicitor looking to take the next step in their career and play a key role in the continued development and growth of the department.
You will manage a varied private client caseload, provide high-quality legal advice to clients and work closely with colleagues across the firm. You will also have the opportunity to shape the future direction of the department, develop client relationships and contribute to business development.
The role is ideally based in Devon, with hybrid and flexible working available.
THE ROLE:
Applications are welcomed from Private Client Solicitors with 5+ years' PQE or equivalent experience, with a strong background across a broad range of private client matters.
You will ideally have experience in:
• Wills and estate planning
• Probate and estate administration
• Trusts
• Lasting Powers of Attorney
• Inheritance Tax planning
• Court of Protection matters
• Tax and succession planning
• Contentious private client matters
ABOUT YOU:
You will be an experienced and commercially minded Private Client Solicitor with excellent technical knowledge and a strong commitment to client care.
You will:
• Have strong leadership and team management skills
• Enjoy developing and maintaining client relationships
• Have a proven ability to manage a varied caseload
• Be confident in business development and networking
• Be commercially aware and committed to growing the department
• Enjoy mentoring and supporting more junior members of the team
