Principal System Engineer

Overview

Senior Account Consultant - Specialist in both Permanent and Contract recruiting for the Defence and Aerospace sectors. Principal Systems Engineer (Basildon) – pay up to £75p/h (Inside IR35).Our client, a large Aerospace company, is looking for a skilled Principal Systems Engineer to work on the HALO (Hostile Artillery Locating System) project, which involves a state-of-the-art long-range acoustic weapon locating system.Responsibilities

Contribute to requirements specification and management for complex, multi-faceted outputs.Support junior engineers and contribute to technical excellence across the organisation.Ensure compliance with MIL-STDs, Industry STDs, and regulatory requirements.Support activities, including design reviews and peer reviews.Development of the software security plan.Experience required

Knowledge and experience of all stages of the engineering development lifecycle.Experience in system-level testing.CE Marking compliance for electrical and electronic equipment (EEE).Experience using IBM Engineering Requirements Management DOORS (Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System).Awareness of Safety, Security, and other legislative constraints.Ideally, have Defence industry experience.Domain experience in an Electronics-focused role.Evidenced experience of developing training manuals for end users.Seniority level
