Principal Flood Risk Consultant Reading £50,000 - £60,000 A specialist Flood Risk and Drainage Consultancy is looking to appoint a Principal Consultant to join its growing team in Reading. This is a senior position for an experienced Flood Risk professional looking to take on greater responsibility across technical delivery, project management and client relationships. The role will include: Leading the delivery of Flood Risk Assessments, drainage strategies and flood risk appraisals Undertaking and reviewing flood risk modelling and technical assessments Developing Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) strategies Managing projects from inception through to completion, including budgets and programmes Providing technical guidance and reviewing the work of junior team members Liaising with clients, Local Authorities, the Environment Agency and other stakeholders Developing and maintaining client relationships Supporting the continued growth and development of the Flood Risk team The ideal candidate will have a strong background in flood risk and drainage, with experience delivering projects within a consultancy environment. You will be confident managing projects independently, communicating with clients and providing technical direction to more junior members of the team. Experience with TUFLOW, Flood Modeller, InfoDrainage/MicroDrainage and GIS would be beneficial.
