We have an opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer who is looking for technically challenging work on cutting-edge projects, to become a permanent member of our Building Engineering Team in London. You will work on some of the most exciting and innovative buildings in the UK and internationally, often with top tier architects and clients. The team is involved with over 100 projects worldwide from concept design through to completion. Our projects aim to support the transition to net-zero carbon, with electrical engineering at the heart of this effort. We are looking for people who can understand the magnitude of the challenge and bring inquisitiveness and a willingness to challenge the status quo.Current/Recent Portfolio

includes:Technical HV electrical infrastructure studies: locations of strategic national significanceResidential and social infrastructure: Ebury Bridge Estate and East VillageRail building projects: Euston Station, Bond Street Station, HS2Airport projects: Heathrow, Mumbai, and othersCulture and mixed-use: UCL East Marshgate, The Royal Opera House, Selfridges Department StoreResponsibilities

Produce electrical and MEP designs on projects and be accountable to project leaders and the electrical discipline within the business.Prepare and co-ordinate electrical reports and specifications.Undertake comprehensive technical review of submittals from contractors.Provide technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced team members.Design, develop and produce high-quality electrical design work, including sketches (electronic and hand-drawn), calculation plans, technical studies and models, drawings, reports and specifications.Is this role right for you?

We’re looking for a candidate who:Is professionally registered with a relevant engineering institution.Has knowledge and interest in sustainable building design in terms of energy and carbon, and compliance with related regulatory and voluntary codes.Has detailed knowledge of relevant British Standards (including BS 7671, BS 7430, BS 5839, BS 9999, BS 5839).Possesses excellent technical aptitude and experience in a range of electrical service design software.Contact and Application
