Primary - Teaching Assistant
0.7 of week. (All mornings, two afternoon)- Main PurposeTo organise and support teaching and learning activities for classes across the school in phonics, early writing and maths in KS2. The primary focus is to carry out specified work with individuals, groups and whole classes under the direction of a qualified teacher.Roles at this level will be expected to carry out specified work. Senior Teaching Assistants may also supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers.Essential AttributesIs hard-working, has high standards and enjoys the challenge of working in a small school environment.Level 3 Qualification - Teaching AssistantExperience of working with and leading small groups or individual children.Team member, but also to show initiative when required. Is knowledgeable and organised.Is helpful, understanding, calm and consistent in their standards and behaviour.Is flexible, enjoys sharing ideas and understands the importance of collaboration.Will promote the school''s chosen Christian values and has an understanding of their importance in Church Schools.Has experience working in classrooms.Desirable AttributesRecent phonics training (Read Write Inc or equivalent)Paediatric first aiderExperience of teaching early writing or maths in ..... full job details .....
