Primary Learning Mentor
Prospero Teaching are looking for an experienced Primary Learning Mentor to work in a primary school in the Stechford area of Birmingham.
This is a full-time position starting September 2026, supporting pupils across school who require additional help with their behaviour, emotional wellbeing and engagement with learning.
The successful candidate will work with pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis, helping to remove barriers to learning, build confidence and encourage positive behaviour and relationships within school.

- Full time, Monday to Friday
- Start date: September 2026
- Long-term position
- 1:1 and small-group interventions
- Supporting behaviour, wellbeing and engagement
- Working closely with teaching staff and the wider pastoral team
The Ideal Candidate
Previous experience working specifically as a Learning Mentor is essential for this role.
You should also have:
- Recent experience working with children in a school setting
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Experience supporting pupils with social, emotional or behavioural needs
- A confident, patient and positive approach
- The ability to build strong relationships with pupils
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one
- The ability to provide suitable references covering the required period
