About the Role

A 1:1 SEN Learning Mentor is sought by The Graduate Network to support a non-verbal pupil with additional needs at a ‘Good’ primary school in Wolverhampton. This temporary assignment offers a daily rate of £85 to £101 and begins immediately, continuing until July 2027. Working one-to-one, you will help the pupil access learning, follow daily routines, and feel secure. Collaboration with the class teacher and SEN team is essential to provide structure and encouragement. The position suits a graduate seeking practical SEN experience. The Role:
As a 1:1 SEN Learning Mentor, you will provide dedicated support to a non-verbal pupil with additional needs. You will help the pupil access learning, follow daily routines and feel safe and supported throughout the school day. You will work closely with the class teacher and SEN team to provide structure, reassurance and consistent encouragement.

The Candidate:
This role will suit a patient, caring and resilient graduate who wants to make a genuine difference to a child with SEN. You should be calm under pressure, confident following guidance and able to build trust through consistency, empathy and positive interaction. Requirements

2:2 degree or above in Psychology, Education, Childhood Studies or a related subject.
• A genuine interest in supporting pupils with SEN and communication needs.
• Strong communication skills and a calm, nurturing approach.
• The ability to build trust and provide consistent 1:1 support.
• Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
